The 2011 Winning Team Is Enterprise High School Team 1
Enterprise High School Team 1 won the 2011 Redding Regional Science Bowl Saturday February 26, hosted by REU at Simpson University. With the victory Coach David Peek and his team of Captain Ronnel Boettcher, Anthony Cellini, Ross Martin, Monica Stant and Ellis Jenne earned an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C. where they will compete in the National Science Bowl April 28, - May 2.
In what was the scientific version of the River Bowl, Enterprise defeated Shasta High School twice to win the double elimination championship. U-Prep’s three teams completed the morning qualifying rounds by going 16-2 collectively, but could finish no higher than third place for the day. Twenty-one teams from area high schools in Shasta, Lassen, Butte and Trinity Counties competed in the event. Stellar Charter High School of Redding won the costume contest. U Prep won the school spirit award.
